Kirstin is the founder of Graceful Aesthetics. She qualified from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle in 2000 as a Registered General Nurse. Following that she specialised in Gynaecology at James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough, as well as spending time in Australia working at the Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney.
In 2006 she made the move into aesthetics and became a Lead Nurse for a national non-surgical aesthetics company, remaining there for 15 years. This company is considered the market leader both in standards and safety, which remains of the utmost importance to her within her own clinic.
In 2017 she completed her Independent Nurse Prescribing Qualification which has greatly benefited her aesthetic practice; allowing her to do face to face consultations with clients and prescribe appropriate treatments, both injectable and topical for particular concerns. She is trained in laser treatments for hair removal, facial thread veins and tattoo removal, and has a Level 4 Professional Award in Laser and Light Based Therapies.
She performs treatments such as Botox, Profhilo and polynucleotides, skin boosters, and vitamin Injections. As well as skin treatments such as microneedling, and deep and superficial peels. She is also trained in Obagi Professional Skincare and can prescribe tailored skin care regimes which give visible results.
Philosophy
Having worked for a large, corporate organisation with the focus on high volume of clients, Kirstin wanted to provide a more intimate, personal service. This became the primary motive for setting up her own clinic.

This treatment temporarily relaxes and softens dynamic lines by blocking the nerve impulses to the muscles. Typically treating the lines in between the eyebrows, forehead and crows feet. The treatment can last anything from 3-4 months.

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in our bodies. It keeps skin hydrated and volumised. Hyaluronic acid is injected beneath the surface of the skin to add volume, fullness and hydration . Areas treated are cheeks, nose to mouth lines, lips, and marionette lines. This treatment can last anything from 6-18 months.

This injectable treatment improves skin texture, elasticity and hydration, with an immediate tightening effect. One of the highest injectable concentrations of hyaluronic acid. Good for skin laxity in the face and neck, décolleté and hands. Minimum of 2 or 3 treatments (depending on the condition of the skin) spaced monthly, and then 1 treatment 3-4 monthly as maintenance.

Profhilo Body is a hybrid complex of two different molecular weights of Hyaluronic Acid. It intervenes in the physiological process of skin ageing. It is designed to remodel tissue and improve skin laxity. great for areas such as inner arms, abdomen and neck/décolleté. An initial cycle of 2 treatment sessions with a 30 day interval is recommended followed by maintenance treatments.

This injectable treatment has a dual action: deep hydration to improve elasticity, radiance and smoothness of the skin. It has a stretching effect on superficial wrinkles and is particularly indicated for the dynamic areas of the face such as the forehead, crows feet and lip lines. It usually involves 2 treatments spaced 8 weeks apart and then maintenance. Perfect for those who don't want to use toxin.

As we age collagen production declines which is why our skin gets saggy and more wrinkled. Polynucleotides are an injectable product containing highly purified DNA molecules extracted from trout. They are clinically proven to stimulate collagen production and improve bio-regeneration of the skin improving skin quality, appearance and elasticity. Good for all areas of skin but especially helpful for treating the eye area for dark circles, crepiness and lines, and the area around the mouth. These are historically difficult areas to treat with injectables. This brand of Polynucleotides recently won the Aesthetics Awards 2024 Award for best new product.
A course of 3 treatments spaced 3 weekly is recommended to start with. Maintenance is 1 treatment every 6 months.

This is a fractional needling system which utilises multiple needles that vertically pierce the skin to create thousands of tiny holes. This causes the release of serum growth factors which stimulate the breakdown of old fibrous collagen and stimulate new collagen and elastin development. Depending on the indication it will involve a course of 3-6 treatments 6 weeks apart.

This is an innovative, biphasic TCA peel. It contains 14 active ingredients including amino acids, acids and vitamins. Containing TCA 345% and GABA which is a muscle relaxant thereby reducing lines/wrinkles. Thanks to its exfoliating and keratolytic action it promotes cell turnover to counter the effects of skin ageing and acne scarring. Treatment can be performed every 7 to10 days and 2-3 days of light flaking is expected.

This peel is a superficial salicylic, glycolic and lactic acid based peel. It improves skin radiance and rough uneven skin. It helps to minimise the appearance of mild to moderate photoageing. Can be used in conjunction with other Obagi systems such as Nu-derm, CRX and Clenziderm. 3 to 6 peels space 2-4 weeks apart is recommended. 2 to 3 days of minimal peeling is expected.

Enerpeels are a range of chemical skin peels that 'remodel' rather than 'peel' it.
Mandelic Acid peel is an introductory peel designed for sensitive skin, can be used for rosacea and early signs of ageing.
Jessners peel can be used to reduce hyperpigmentation, the common signs of ageing and sun damage.
Best results from these peels are seen after a course of around 4 treatments spaced 2-3 weekly.
TCA 25% peel is a medium to deep medical grade peel. It can improve colour, freshness, texture, skin tone, scarring and fine wrinkles. It can also help to remove superficial discolouration such as age spots. Moderate peeling starts at around day 3 or 4 post peel. A course of at least 3 is recommended at 4-6 week intervals.

This treatment is ideal for thiose who live a healthy lifestyle by exercising reguarly and eating a balanced diet yet still have that one area of fat that will not disappear. Aqualyx contains desoxycholan-acid which is a secondary bile acid and is used for its fat dissolving properties. It is injected using a thin flexible cannula directly into the subcutaneous fat tissue. It can be used for hips, saddle bags, thighs, stomach and more. On average 3-5 treatments are required at 3 week intervals.
